On page SEO or optimization can be done through a plenty of ways. Some of them are:
Provide Quality Content
This is the most essential and important factor of On page SEO. In the Internet world, content is the king. So if you have content that is refreshing as well as unique, your content is sure to rank higher in the search engine. Remember your audience is always look for engaging content that are new to them. It is also important that your content is informative and useful to the targeted audience. If the audience sticks to your content without jumping for yet another link of another website, then you have surely provided a great content.
Give appropriate title to your post with proper focus keyword
What if you have written a great content but the title of your post is unable to explain what your content is all about. This will make it harder for the search engine to connect to your post and index them appropriately. Search engines follow certain algorithm and if they find that your title is not suitable as per your content, then there are no chances for you to rank higher.
Thus, make sure that the title you give to your post is most relevant to your content. Also try to use your focus keyword of your title in some part of your content so that the readers feel the connection. Do not overdo with the keyword stuffing else you may get penalized.
Write Content of Standard Length
While there is no restriction or limit on the word count of your content, it is always recommended that you have a content of standardized length. It can come anything between 400-2500 words depending on the topic of your content. Sometimes, you might just feel like writing for only 400-500 words on a topic. However, sometimes your content might be a bit lengthy or exhaustive.
The crux of the talk is, as long as your content is providing good and satisfying information, any length of post is acceptable. Never, try to stick to a certain word count. Always keep a variation in your writing from long posts to standard one. Lengthier post are likely to b indexed higher as more information is expected from such posts on a given topic. But that might not be always the case.
Usually, posts below 300 words are not considered very informative and hence are a negative to On page SEO.
Make your post link understandable to the search engine and readers
Nobody is ever going to know what your content is all about is your post link looks something like this:
The above link gives me no idea about what the post is going to talk about. But suppose, instead I give a descriptive url for my post , something like this:
http://evrybuzz/SEO/What is SEO/
The above url looks awesome and descriptive. It has a lot of effect your search ranking and is one of the most neglected On page SEO, if you don’t pay special attention to it. The above is called a permalink and can be easily editable by the website owner. So, next time you optimize your post for SEO, don’t forget to put the most descriptive permalink for your post.
Make sure your content are supported by Images
Putting images for your content is a great way to engage your audience. It is always better to have atleast one image per content than not having any. It will help you drive traffic from the image searches. Images are becoming popular day by day. So, do not miss on this aspect of On Page SEO.
Similar to the permalink of your post, do not forget to give proper description for your images. You should provide appropriate keywords to the “alt text” of your images.
Images takes up a lot more space of your server than text. It is essential that you optimize your image well so that it does not slow down your website.
Support your content with Internal and external links
When an audience visits your website, how do you make sure that once he/she reads one of your post, there are other similar vital information that should also be read. Well, it is through links. If you writing a lot of posts on similar topic, make sure that you link and interlink them. This will help your audience to navigate to each of your website and thus increase your traffic. If your web traffic increases, your ranking goes up. It is also a good idea to put external links to websites that you find useful and connected to your post.

Meta description is the text that appears on the SERP just below the post link. It tells the audience what your post is all about. So, ensure that your meta description is crisp and concise.
