There are some times when you feel like you have not much to do around. Well there may be times too when you might not feel that energetic and active to accomplish your important tasks. It is most likely that you may not want to waste this time either. So what should be done during these times? There are many things that you can do in order to avoid killing time and feel like utilizing these times as well. Let me share how you can utilize your spare time- the less energetic ones.
The spare or low tie may vary depending on your schedule as well as your mood. We will call this the “buffer” time. Here are some of the things highlighted for you to be done:
Read:
This is one of the best utilization of your buffer time when you are not willing to do anything. Your reading can include anything, from good articles to good books. It is always advisable to take up a book and keep reading it as and when you are getting a buffer time. This will focus your attention on the book rather than your low feeling. Reading good articles will help you divert your mind and you will begin feeling good all over again.
Meditate and Exercise:
If you have the buffer time, do meditate and exercise. It will liven up your spirit. And what more, it will keep you fit too. You will be all active enough to take up the new tasks again. Meditation helps to keep the worrying thoughts away from you. Exercising and meditating can make you feel lighter.
Do something that is not in your usual routine:
Something like learning on how to prepare a new dish, read a magazine that you have kept pending or a bit of stretching will be a good idea. It is a good idea to walk around and relax. This activity freshens up your mind and enhances your creativity. Listening to music is also a good option to feel better.
Plan Out:
This is the best way to plan out for the rest of your day or week or may be a whole month. If you are maintaining a log, why not update it? It is a nice way to schedule good things about future and you will not feel like killing your time.
Communicate:
You might have missed talking to a relative, a friend or a colleague because of your busy schedule. Utilize your busy time to talk to people with whom you have not connected over a long period. Socializing is important too, so make the best use of time. Simply writing a mail or talking over the phone would be good enough. You too will feel relaxed as communicating has a healing effect.
De-clutter your space:
When you don’t feel like doing any of the above things, de-clutter your space around. If you are at office, clean your desk or your drawers. You may also clear up the trashes that you have pled up in your system. Delete all the unnecessary file and organize the necessary and required ones in specific folders. If you are home, you need not find spaces to de-clutter. Begin from any part of the house and try to clean it. You will feel less burdened and low in a clean and tidy environment.
